The Story

The story can never be told in words. How do you sum up generations of family, friendship, and fierce competition into a paragraph or two? You don’t. How do you tell the story through a video or pictures? You don’t. Pieces of the story will be told in the years and decades to come, through our work, our competition, and our platform that we build from the ground up. But the real story of the Grey Cup will be told through you…. Through your family, your friends, and your memories that you create with those you love most. Our goal is to give you the reason to make those memories with your people. Life is too short not to.

It is a ceramic trophy found in a garage sale by my uncle 30 years ago. Couldn’t have cost more than a dollar- hell it may have even been free. That trophy became a lottery ticket, the ultimate reason to talk whatever trash you want, and the centerpiece for a weekly competition like no other. As the Grey Cup Champion, you were the king basking in the glory of the Grey Cup until the next match. It became the Ryder Cup, the million-dollar suitcase, the golden egg…. It became everything to my dad, my uncles, and their group of friends who have remained inseparable since the 1960’s. Now, decades after its discovery, this trophy is still at the center of a cross-generational competition that often resembles Sunday at the Masters. It is a cheap ceramic golf trophy, but it is the glue that has provided generations of love, pain, hope, and something to look forward to every week. Memories that can never fade, days that can never be replicated. It represents what every golf lover wants to be a part of- something bigger than just that round they’re playing this weekend. We are going to bring the most coveted trophy never known into your group and your life. If you are reading this, you are now a part of the greatest competition to ever be played among friends, family, and rivals- welcome to GreyCup Golf.
